Fashion and Ethnicity
Fashion if one looks at it closely and dispassionately is all related to the roots and culture of a particular group of people. Hence ethnic origins or ethnicity plays a big role in determining the fashion needs of society. Ethnicity is very obvious when it comes to women’s dresses and this point must be borne in mind by any fashion designer if he or she wants to make it big in this industry. It has be remembered that looking good is very important for a woman for many reasons and one of the prime reason is to attract and woo persons of the opposite sex. Man my nature would like to interact and befriend a woman who belongs to the same culture and ethnic group and hence ethnicity plays a big role in determining the fashion trends especially amongst the women folk. One more thing which has to be considered while going in for fashion clothes is to understand that there are a lot of accessories and clothing which are common both for men and women. A few examples are T-shirts and pants. However when it comes to designing the same it has to be slightly different and the ethnicity factor has to be taken into account when it is being designed for women. So this is an important factor that has to be kept in mind.
