Fashion is a simple word but when one looks at in totality the number of processes and systems involved in making fashion industry what it is today is indeed mind boggling. It involves many lines and stages of activities and there is a big time lag between production launching and actually delivery of fashion clothes and apparels. The whole thing has been further complicated because today the industry does not just mean clothes and apparels but includes a whole lot of others things such as footwear, bags, purses, umbrellas and almost everything which a person carries with him or her when he or she is on the move. So the production process involves a lot of things starting from fabric or yarn selection, development of garment, sampling and specifications and remember this whole process takes time and effort end-to-end. Added to the this is the sudden change to the customer requirement which might upset the whole apple cart and may call for reinventing the whole production and supply chain. Hence running a fashion house is beset with problems and challenges and unexpected turn of events for which as an entrepreneur and fashion designer one should be prepared. So, running and managing this industry is indeed a tough job, though the opportunities are unlimited.
