The world of fashion is changing rapidly and accordingly the manufacturing and production methods are also innovating and changing to keep pace with the changing fashion designs of the consumer. Never has the industry seen such a fast change in production methods to keep in touch with the happenings in the ground. This is because the industry has a huge variety of products, very small life cycles of such products, demand which at best can be described as volatile and unpredictable and a supply procedure which is not very flexible and takes its own times. In such a situation, the only thing that can be done is to change the methods of production which should be more pragmatic and in line with the market realities. The new trend in manufacturing is the liberal use of both synthetic and natural fibers such as silk, cotton, polyester, wool, rayon, Lenin and other such materials. This is because the fashion industry has to cater to all age groups of people starting from young infants to old people and also to different gender needs. The new production techniques that are being adopted today in this fashion crazy world can be divided into five major components where newer trends are being used. They are raw materials, fabric plants, manufacturing procedure, dyeing and coloring and managing the supply chains.
