It is always very volatile and what is relevant today suddenly becomes obsolete and useless tomorrow. There are instances where huge inventories and finished products get piled up just because trends have changed overnight. The reason for this sudden change in trends and desires in this industry could be because of advertisements which are away from the truth and highly unrealistic. Many consumers get taken in by such advertisements and often end up making the wrong choice. Hence advertisement in the fashion industry has to be realistic and in tune with what is within the realm of possibility. So apart from the manufacturers and the consumers, advertisers in this industry have also a big role to play and they should play a more positive role in the growth and development of this industry.
