Fashion is Now Global
Fashion is no longer restricted to one section or class of people and has permeated down to the lower levels of society and the fashion industry is one which caters to almost all sections of society irrespective of religion, region and other backgrounds. However, there are some areas where religion does play an important role in defining fashion trends, but things are changing pretty fast and a day will not be far away where it will cut across all religious barriers. In such a scene the global fashion market is both an opportunity and a challenge. Opportunity because, it gives a chance to tap the enormous global market where the demand is mind boggling. On the flip side however, catering to such changing demands and preferences in the global industry is indeed a big challenge. This is because, as far as global fashion manufacture is concerned, the developing and less developed countries have a big role to play because of their lower labor costs which are so critical for maintaining cost advantage. This is very crucial and herein lie the challenge. Integrating all the production and marketing facilities under one platform is indeed a big task which is tough to say the least.
