How Fashion Industry Grew
The beginning of the 19th century was just the first steps in fashion and eventually there was a flood of other designers who left their imprint in the sands of time and one such person was Paul Poi Ret. He was very well known for combining the old with the new and could be described as the trend setter for modern day fashion designing. Their contribution to the industry has to be remembered against the backdrop of the time in which they were born. Those were very conservative days with a very conservative society and anything new and untested was looked down with a lot of skepticism and often with ridicule. Though today fashion trends have literally swept across different corners of the world and it is no longer restricted to one place, it was not the case when first this industry started taking it baby steps. Paris was considered the home for fashion throughout the 20th century. Even today it continues to hold an important place for new trends in dresses and apparels though it has tough competition from other countries and cities as well. Britain and America started catching up fast in new fashion trends and today it has also become the power centers for anything related to this industry. The real growth of the industry actually happened during the early 1990s when the shackles of this industry were broken and with the emergency of new fashion designers who took bold steps in redefining and giving a new direction to this industry.
