Today, fashion as an industry has literally taken off and is changing rapidly and what it is relevant today become obsolete tomorrow and therefore continues upgrading and changing has become name of the game. Under such circumstances it has to be realized and understood that newer and bolder fashion trends is making the industry very complicated and standardization which was the name of the game in the 19th and 20th centuries is now being thrown out of the window. Today there are very few standard fashion companies and it encompasses a whole of apparels and accessories including footwear, home textiles and other markets dealing with accessories. The challenges faced by fashion designers is more varied and of a higher level when compared to people and companies who are into the fashion commodity market. Today’s fashion customer is very well informed and is always willing to try new designs and apparels and slowly but steadily there is a trend to move towards more environmentally friendly apparels and clothing which at the same time must look trendy and contemporary. This indeed is a challenge for the fashion industry for which they should constantly upgrade and reinvent the wheel and start thinking out of the box.
